“Mer-Girl” is an original 22”x 23” fiber art piece using traditional styles of quilting with new forms of digital image media transfers and hand crafted by artist Cindy Shake. The concept for this piece was for the beautiful underwater “Mer-Girl” to take our worries away with the ocean currents. This piece is designed to be wall hung in a place where worries and negative thoughts would be pulled away from our hearts and minds for anyone who looked at the “Mer-Girl” fiber art piece.

Mer-Girl is beautiful! Not sure what my Laura would think if I said I was in love with a Mer-Girl, but this is a wonderful piece. It is so nice to see traditional and contemporary media used together in this way too.
