Our Equivalent of a Sunday Drive

Gus and I convinced Daddy-O to be a flatlander today as we cross-country skied (Derek normally only skis vertically...) through Moose Meadow, Fitz’s Meadow (appropriate from Thursday night!), Conway Meadow and back through Lost Meadow, all under glorious blue skies. The trails were wonderful thanks to the newly formed Girdwood Nordic Ski Club. THANKS GNSC!

Gorgeous cool Sunday afternoon..With so many of 'our' blogger friends in the south where there is some green grass and snowdrops showing signs of Spring, it is nice to see a snow scene similar to my backyard..well, minus the fabulous mountains..:)Happy creative week to you, Cindy

I like your version of the Sunday Drive. With fuel costs going the way they are we will have to pray for global cooling so that we can ski to work down here. Maybe if everyone in New Zealand leaves the fridge door open we could encourage snow!

Hi All! Little did we know that the Tour of Anchorage was going on in town which is a 25K, 40K and 50K cross country ski event. No wonder we had the meadows to ourselves on a SUNDAY! We're on vacation mode for sure!

We both took a Sunday drive, Peter is right about the fuel, love horror hill and enchanted forest. I remember hills full of moguls all too well.
