Turning TO-DO into TA-DONE!

The good news is our MAJOR summer projects are wrapping up thanks to a couple of good weather windows. The bad news is we are exhausted and we've had no time for fishing or goofing off. Oh well. I'm grateful for my hunky, handy husband who has been transforming our environments.

Next, I'm working on welding NEW deck raining panels with a vine theme for the front of the house.

Now that the roof is DONE, Daddy-O primes the sprayer for the exterior painting.

X CHECK!! ROOF #1 TA-DONE!

X CHECK!! New exterior PAINTING, TA-DONE!

X CHECK!! Exterior metal artwork is mounted on the NEWLY PAINTED house, TA-DONE!

X CHECK!! Garden FINALLY growing, TA-DA!
With little to no time for art making, gardening has been cheering me up, especially in the morning light.
Look at the lovely colors of the Rhubarb leaves against the ornamental cabbage.

X CHECK!! ROOF #2 in Girdwood, TA-DONE!
We totally lucked out on a week of good weather for the tear-off, rebuild and install in a traditionally rainy Mt. Alyeska. The NEW metal roof features a wonderful facia board on the eves that has a weather-proof metal wrap, by Rainproof Roofing is now complete on the house in Girdwood. The day after the roofing company finished it was POURING RAIN as we did the final cleanup around the house -but at least it's also TA-DONE!!

Jeez, I can't even keep up with a list for one house, much less projects for TWO houses! We do have a long improvements list just waiting for us though.....

I like the finished look of the roof on the 8th picture. It sits perfectly on top of your house and also complements the overall structure of your home. Well, it's a good thing that you chose a metal roof. It can serve you well for over 50 years, but with proper maintenance, of course.
